If you are converting from baseboard or cadet heaters in your home you will immediately notice a difference in the quality of your air. Baseboard heating systems and cadet heaters do not have filters, so any dust or debris, pollens or bacteria are floating freely through the home. They also usually don’t have any air movement to stop particles from settling on furniture and everyday objects. Ductless heat pumps have filters in the wall heads, floor mount or ducted units that are attached. These filters vary in strength and ability to capture particles. We also offer solutions such as air scrubbers to clean and purify the air of viruses, bacteria, mold and some VOC’s. If even higher level air purification is required we offer ducted HEPA filtration that will work in most homes with a ductless system.

If your HVAC system is not filtering your air, do you know what filters it?

Your lungs. Your lungs can filter particles between .3 and 10 microns and allow them into your blood stream which can have over 20 side affects. The EPA states that indoor air is at least 5X more polluted than outdoor air. So along with saving money on your electric bills, ductless could save you a lot more than just money.
